The under 18s played their first ever game together on weds the 1st of august against a strong sportshouse team containing 5 first teamers and gave a spirited performance which pleased many of the home supporters , their crisp passing, tackling & skill left the management team of martin cox and shawn eyles extremely satisfied as to their prospects in the somerset premier floodlit league this season, Sportshouse had promised to bring a youth side containing players no older than 20 but the home teams 16 & 17 year olds were pitted against a side who, although vastly more experienced due to their ages (20-40) showed why the trowbridge league & the mid somerset sadly will be the highest they will climb, sports took the lead in the first half then went 2 up but with radstock mixing the players around as be-fits a friendly the result was never important though the result was 4-1 to the visitors ,a great deal was gained for the home team adam bowrings goal was a just reward for radstocks battling spirit .
